Charice for Preview and Jinkee for Mega
The two celebrities are featured on the covers of the latest issues of fashion magazines Preview and Mega, and reactions online vary from admiration to outright disbelief. The debate has been so hot that Jinkee Pacquiao and MEGA Magazine trended locally on Twitter today, as has Charice Pempengco.
MEGA Creative Director Suki Salvador said on
Twitter that Jinkee “is a knockout.”
@jococomendador said, “Ang fierce nila sobra. From Rags to Fierceness.”
“Ang ganda ni Jinkee at ni Charice sa respective magazine covers nila,” tweeted @rockedradio.
However, others begged to disagree.
“EPIC editing>> EPIC #fail…
Unrealisticly done.. Just my crunch,”
said @chinito_antonio.

“Sina charice ba talaga at jinkee yung nasa preview at mega?” asked @OhMyArkiBoi.
“Nakakabwiset na yung garapalang Photoshop sa mga magazine covers ngayon. Una, Charice on Preview. Ngayon, Jinkee Pacquiao on Mega,” said @nikowl.
Taking a different view on the issue, @AntiMisanthrope posted, “Aren’t you the one[s] who like Hollywoodish beauty? Bakit nagrereklamo kayo ngayon sa covers ni Charice at Jinkee?”
As of posting time neither of the two magazines have issued statements about the controversy.
One previous Photoshop controversy that erupted online was the Department of Public Works and Highways fiasco, where three officials were digitally edited into a typhoon cleanup photo.
Dubbed “The Great DPWH Photoshop Meme,” the photo became so infamous that it was written about by news agencies abroad.
